The marathon kissing contest held in Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in Pattay City for the second time on Valentine’s Day.
This year’s contest kicked-off at 16:00 hrs on February 12. Seven couples participated.
At the end only two couples remained in the competition. Year 2011 champion’s Mr. Akachai and Mrs. Laksana Tiranara and and gay couple, Mr. Nonthawat Charernkesornsilp and Mr.Thanakorn Sittiamtong. Also standing by was Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem, the Lord Mayor of Pattaya city there to congratulate the winners and present them with big flower bouquets.
After 50 hours and 20 minutes of kissing the 2011 champions were exhausted and threw in the towel. The 2012 new champions: Mr.Nonthawat and Mr.Thanakorn, who won the contest and set a new Guinness Worl Record for the longest kiss with a new duration: 50 hours 25 minutes and 1 second.
The prize 100,000 baht, a diamond ring and a gift voucher issued by Anantra Phuket, value 200,000 baht and entry into the Guinness World Records. For the previous champions. Second prize: 20,000 baht cash and a gift voucher.
