More Trains for the Pattaya Airport link

The Transport Ministry of Thailand will buy more trains for the Airport Rail Link and build a new line from Suvarnabhumi airport - Pattaya. The ministry will also deploy vans and small buses to transport travellers to and from several locations around Bangkok to the Airport Rail Link at its Makkasan terminal in coming months. Pattaya is going to reach the sky with the new rail link, which is under preliminary stages of construction at present. It is going to be an express train similar to the Suvarnabhumi airport rail link. It is supposed to be built from Bangkok to Rayong through the Pattaya airport passing four provinces and five stations. Where is Pattaya? Where is Pattaya? Pattaya is located on the eastern seaboard of Thailand. It is about two hours drive from Bangkok with car. A bit longer if you do not take the highway that is running all the way to Chonburi. There is also busses from Ekamai bus station in Bangkok and you pay only 120 THB for one way ticket. Busses to Pattaya leave from about 05.00 - 22.00 Monday to Sunday and they take about 2 hours as well. The BTS in Bangkok stops at Ekamai station and from the bus station in Pattaya you can take a bus for 20 THB to the beach road. From Bangkok international airport you can take a taxi or bus for about the same price, busses leaves every hours but not the last bus leaves around 20.00 so check with your flight. In the future you will have a Airport Link between Bangkok International Airport Suvarnabhumi and Pattaya and that is what this website is about.
